In order for economic sustainability to be realized on Salt Cay, it is important to improve the quality of life on the island. The development on Salt Cay will encourage economic growth and will create new employment and business opportunities for residents. The need for new shops, restaurants, recreational facilities and other services will grow exponentially and Turks Islanders will be encouraged to seize the opportunity afforded.

In addition to the growth in both new and existing businesses, this development will create approximately 1000 new job opportunities where Turks Islanders will be given priority during the hiring and training process. These new jobs will be in the public and private sector and will not just be limited to Salt Cay, but also to the other islands in the Turks and Caicos. Salt Cay Devco is committed to investing tens of millions of dollars into the infrastructure of the island and the aim is to make these services available to the existing community.
