RECOVERY STATUS

Salt Cay On The Road To Recovery:

On Saturday October 18th, a community meeting was held in Salt Cay to update residents and the public on the joint community restoration effort being undertaken by local businesses, charitable organizations, the government and residents. The community and all parties involved in the rehabilitation are happy to report that significant progress has been made in returning normalcy to the island and its residents.

  • Residents of the Turks and Caicos Islands who have contributed to the relief efforts set up in Salt Cay whether great or small.
  • Salt Cay Devco. The company has committed $250,000 for repairs and over $65,000 on hurricane relief supplies. To-date, Salt Cay Devco has repaired the Salt Shed, Clinic, rebuilt the roofs of thirty (30) Turks Islander homes identified as priorities, and has donated generators, food, equipment, satellite phones and medicine.
